It's not easy to retain vocabulary and expressions when studying a language, and it's challenging to get words out on the spot when you're having conversations. I hope these weekly posts could be good practice for your Japanese studies!!
The question for today is: How do you say "Library" in Japanese??
The answer is...
↓

↓
図書館 [Toshokan]
図書 [Tosho] means books or any type of publications
館 [Kan] can mean a big public building
The kanji "館" can be seen in other buildings as well.
美術館 [Bijutsukan] - Art museum
旅館 [Ryokan] - Japanese inn
水族館 [Suizokukan] - Aquarium
Writer's note: I think this is one of the first words you learn when taking a Japanese language class. Completely unrelated but I like American libraries more than Japanese libraries. If you know any cool Japanese libraries let me know!
