It's not easy to retain vocabulary and expressions when you're studying a language, and it's especially difficult to get words out on the spot when you're having conversations. I hope these weekly posts could be good practice for your Japanese, and let's take it one word at a time.
The question for today is: How do you say "Be Careful" in Japanese??

The answer is...
気を付けて [Ki o Tsukete]
This is very casual so it's probably best to use this for your friends or people you are close with.
You can add ください/Kudasai to make the sentence more formal
気を付けてください [Please be careful]
Adding a ね/Ne at the end will make the sentence sound softer
気を付けてね - [Be careful okay(?)]
Writer's note: The Japanese version of "stranger danger" is [知らない人についていかない]. Stranger is indeed danger anywhere you go.
